Technical snag disrupts Delhi Metro services on Blue Line

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Services on Delhi Metro's Blue Line were disrupted in the morning hours today due to a technical snag that restricted the speed of the trains.

"There was a little delay in services on Line-3 today between 9.15 to 11.15 AM due to Track Circuit drop (signaling issue which resulted due to minor rail fracture) between Indraprastha and Yamuna Bank stations on Up line (line going from Noida/Vaishali towards Dwarka)," a DMRC official said.

"To analyse the cause, access to the track was given twice to the staff which led to minor delay in services during this period. After temporary repair of the rail (to avoid unnecessary delay in services during day time), services on Line 3 are running normal since 11.15 AM. There is no major dislocation to train services," the official said.

The official further said that detailed repair work will be undertaken during night hours.
