A 19-year-old youth was kidnapped by unidentified persons from here, police said today.
The victim identified as Pradeep Chandra, a BA student, on Wednesday went to Chandra Swami Degree College for his practical examination but till late evening he did not return, they said.
His family members searched for him but in vain while his mobile phone was also switched off, they said.
On the basis of family members complaint, an FIR has been registered with Kotwali City police in the matter, they said, adding that efforts are on to find him.
Pradeep was also kidnapped on January 2 this year, Station Officer of Kotwali City police station Jamil Mohammad Rawaat said.
Back then, on seeing the locals approaching, his kidnappers had escaped leaving him behind with tied hands and legs in Lodhamai village, the SO said.
