Two teenage lovers allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a train near Podanur on the city outskirts, police said today.
The incident came to light today when morning walkers noticed the body of a girl, in two halves, and that of the boy lying near the railway track at Ganeshapuram, near here and informed police and railway officials.
Both of them were aged 19 years were from Kothagiri in Nilgiris district and the reason for the extreme step was yet to be ascertained.
