Teenage girl dies after being hit by tractor

A 14-year-old died after she was hit by a speeding tractor-trolley near Khera road here, police said today.

Reena Kumari, a resident of Gobindpura area, was returning from school yesterday when she was hit by the tractor, leaving her critically injured, they said.

The girl was rushed to a local civil hospital but the doctors referred her to a Jalandhar where she succumbed to her injuries, police said.

The body has been sent for postmortem and a case has been lodged in this connection.
