Teenager dies in mishap

A 19-year-old youth was killed

and several passengers injured when a private bus they were travelling in overturned at Halady in Kundapur near here today, police said.

The deceased was a daily wage labourer. The injured have been admitted to hospitals nearby. The condition of two of the injured was serious, police said.

The bus was plying from Siddapur to Udupi when the driver lost control of the vehicle and fell into a gorge by the side of the road. The driver of the bus was also seriously injured.
