A teenager has been
allegedly raped by a college student after he took her out on Saraswati Puja day in Nadia district.
Two local youths had asked the girl to go out with them on bikes on Saturday. Another girl too accompanied them, the girl's mother said in a complaint lodged with the Taherpur police station yesterday.
They went out in two bikes in the afternoon.
While a youth allegedly assaulted her, the other raped her in a field, the mother said in her complaint.
The police said the boy is absconding.
The girl was produced before a Magistrate at Ranaghat for recording her statement.
The police said they have received a complaint and initiated investigation.
