The total revenue receipts of Telangana Government till end of September this year stood at Rs 47,027.59 crores, the Legislative Assembly was told today.

"As per the Civil Accounts to end of September 2016, the total receipts of the government including Central grants, loans, market borrowings and share in taxes etc. Is Rs 47,0257.59 crores," Finance Minister E Rajender said in the reply to a query in the House.

Till end of September 2016, the total non-plan expenditure was Rs 28,858.33 crore and Plan expenditure was Rs 22,756.77 crores, he said.

The Centre had allowed borrowing up to 3.5 per cent for the current Financial Year as the state "achieved revenue surplus" in last two years.

The minister was asked whether the state is facing a huge revenue deficit due to hike in salaries for employees, crop loan waiver, tuition fees reimbursement, social security pensions and increased rice quota for BPL families.

The revenue figures for the current fiscal would be known only after the March (annual) figures are furnished by the Accountant General, the minister stated.
