Telangana Government would develop the Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta in Nalgonda district as a major spiritual centre by allocating about Rs 100 crore funds annually, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said today.

Rao said the government intended to develop Yadagirigutta, the largest temple complex in Telangana, in a grand manner.

Rao, who visited the temple, conducted an aerial survey of the place and held discussions with priests and concerned officials, a release from his office said here.

He plans to create such an atmosphere at Yadagirigutta in which the devotees get a unique spiritual experience and also a relief from the pressure of daily life, it said.

The government would like to take up constructions at the temple as per 'agama shastra' (ancient science dealing with architecture and worship in temples). The inputs of noted spiritual guru Chinnajeeyar Swamy would be taken in this regard, it said.

The CM asked the Roads and Buildings department to develop four-lane roads around the temple. He told the forest department to plant appropriate trees.

Government would also develop water bodies and beautify the place. Rao made several other suggestions for the development of the temple, the release added.
