City police today booked a case against popular Telugu musician Chakri and his friend for allegedly trying to outrage the modesty of a woman TV artist at his house here.
The woman alleged the music director and his friend P Prasad tried to outrage her modesty by behaving indecently with her when she had gone to Chakri's house in Banjara Hills area last night to wish him on Friendship Day, said Banjara Hills ACP Shanker Reddy.
Police booked Chakri and Prasad under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of IPC on the complaint of the woman.
However, the investigation officer could not record the woman's statement as she left the police station after filing a written complaint.
Chakri is one of Tollywood's top-rated music directors who has composed music for around 85 movies so far and has many hits to his credit.
