Temperatures fall in Hry,Pb, but only marginally

The maximum temperature dropped slightly at most places in and today, providing a slight respite from the heat wave conditions that had prevailed in the two states during the past few days.

In Haryana, Ambala today recorded a high of 40.1 degrees Celsius, Department report said here.

The respective maximum temperature at Karnal and Hisar also dropped by two notches to settle at 40.6 degrees Celsius and 42 degrees Celsius respectively.

In Punjab, Patiala recorded a high of 40.9 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature recorded at Amritsar was 33 degrees Celsius, seven notches below normal limits, while registered a high of 37.4 degrees Celsius.
