Ambala recorded a high of 32.9 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal while Karnal's maximum temperature settled at 28 degrees Celsius, six degrees below normal limits.
Hisar registered a maximum temperature of 31.1 degrees Celsius while Bhiwani recorded a high of 31.6 degrees Celsius. Narnaul recorded a maximum temperature of 28.8 degrees Celsius.
UT Chandigarh, the joint capital of Haryana and Punjab, recorded a maximum temperature of 33.1 degrees Celsius, according to the MeT Department here.
In Punjab, Amritsar registered a high of 33.4 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 32.2 degrees Celsius and 31.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.
According to a forecast by the MeT Department here, rains/thundershowers are likely at many places in Haryana and Punjab over the next two days.
