Tension mounts at Tangra, situation under control

Attack and counter-attack between the two warring groups, which began last night, became a matter of concern today at Pilkhana under Tangra area, police sources said.

Deployment of additional force and police picketing in the area helped bring the situation under control.

Altogether 11 persons were arrested in this connection after raids were conducted by the police following statements by local people, the police said.
