Press Trust of India New Delhi
Aluminium prices weakened by 0.14 per cent to Rs 138.90 per kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced exposure amid subdued demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in February shed 20 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 138.90 per kg in a business turnover of 862 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in March was trading lower by a similar margin to Rs 139.35 per kg in 69 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to muted demand from consuming industries in the physical market, mainly weighed on aluminium prices at futures trade.
