A total of 167 terror- affected families were given Rs 30,000 each in cash and other assistance at the 111th Shahid Pariwar Fund distribution ceremony at the Hind Samachar Maidan here today.
The families were also given blankets, utensils, clothes, flour and rice at the event, organised by Vijay Kumar Chopra, the Editor-in-Chief of the Hind Samachar Group.
Two trucks carrying relief material for the displaced families in Jammu and Kashmir were also flagged off in presence of Chopra.
