Terror cell 'destroyed', plot foiled: French president

French President Francois Hollande today said an attack has been foiled and a terror cell "destroyed" after the discovery of a car laden with gas cylinders in Paris last weekend.

"A group has been destroyed, but there are others," he warned during a visit to Athens, adding: "An attack has been foiled.
