Lawyers here suspended work for the second consecutive day today to protest the summoning of Kashmir High Court Bar Association president Mian Abdul Qayoom by the NIA in connection with its probe into the terror funding case.
Officials said members of the Bar Association converged outside the High Court complex and took out a march to protest the summoning of Qayoom.
The lawyers said the strike would continue tomorrow as well.

They alleged the National Investigation Agency summoned Qayoom to "prevent him from pleading a case in the Supreme Court on the use of pellet guns on protesters in the Valley and to stop him from preparing a case against the challenge to Article 35A of the Constitution, which is pending before the apex court".
"The Bar Association strongly condemns the method and manner in which the NIA is conducting the investigation.
"The association would move the J&K High Court against the NIA if Qayoom was not treated with respect and dealt with in contravention of the law," its general secretary Bashir Sidiq said.
