Thachankary made Kerala Transport Commissioner

Senior IPS officer Tomin J Thachankary has been transfered from the post of Consumerfed Managing Director and appointed as the Kerala Transport Commissioner.

A decision in this regard was taken at a Cabinet meeting held here today.

He has been appointed to the Transport Commissioner's post in place of R Sreelekha, IPS.

Rubber Marketing Federation Director S Ratnakumar will replace Thachankary as the Managing Director of Consumerfed.

Thachankary was reportedly not in good terms with Minister for Co-Operation C N Balakrishnan, who is in charge of Consumerfed.

Meanwhile, a section of Consumerfed workers protested against the transfer of Thachankary from the post.
