Thane rural police wins maximum medals

Thane district rural police won maximum number of medals at the Konkan Range Police duty 2014 competition held here.

Police personnel were judged in various competitions including forensic sciene, crime investigations, labelling and packing, finger print tests, computer awareness, police photography etc at the three-day 12th meet of Konkan Range which concluded at the police parade ground yesterday.

Assistant police inspector Ashwini Bidre, posted at district special branch, Ratnagiri rural police and sub-inspector Poonam Pawar also of Ratnagiri rural police station won maximum of three and two medals respectively.

Among police constables, Ratnagiri police bagged 11 medals, Thane 10, Sindhudurgh six and Raigadh three.
 

In competitions among personnel of inspector level, Thane won maximum of six medals, Ratnagiri three while Sindhudurgh secured one.

DCP (Crime) Thane city, Parag Manere presided over as the chief guest and handed over medals to the winners.
