The bodies of two young boys who had drowned in the river Tuirivang on Saturday were recovered by the volunteered rescue workers today.
Police said that Lalrosanga (12) and Lalrinpuia (13), both from Phulpui village were fishing in the swollen Tuirivang river and were suspected to have been swept away by the turbulent water.
Over thousand volunteers from Phulpui and surrounding villages participated in the search operation since Sunday, according to Lalparliana Ralte, Vice President of the Young Mizo Association (YMA), Phulpui branch.
