American political drama 'The Newsroom' is set to return for a third and final season.
The final season of the HBO series, created by Aaron Sorkin, will start production this year, reported Variety.
"The Newsroom is classic Aaron Sorkin-smart, riveting and thought-provoking. I'm sure this farewell season will be one to remember," said HBO's Michael Lombardo in a statement.
Sorkin, Scott Rudin and Alan Poul will return as executive producers alongside new addition Paul Lieberstein, of 'The Office' fame.
Jeff Daniels, who took home the Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series last September, will return for the final season.
Emily Mortimer, Sam Waterson, John Gallagher Jr, Alison Pill, Dev Patel, Thomas Sadoski and Olivia Munn will also return for the last season.
