British pop stars The Saturdays have expressed their sadness following the split of fellow girl group Girls Aloud.
Girls Aloud parted ways after a decade together, announcing the news upon the completion of their Ten: The Hits Tour in the UK, reported Contactmusic.
The Saturdays, who have long been tipped as Girls Aloud's chart successors, have now spoken out about the shock split, insisting they are sad to see another girl band step out of the spotlight.

"It's the end of an era. I went to see them on the Ten tour and I'm like, 'Why are you splitting up?' It was such a good show," Rochelle Humes said.
Vanessa White added, "It's so sad. The Saturdays have no plans to split. I feel like we've got loads left.
