Three persons have been arrested for allegedly assaulting Forest department officials when they stopped a truck carrying illegally-mined sand here, police said today.
"Om Singh, Anil Singh and Sanjiv Kumar attacked forest department officer Shashi Shekar Verma, who along with others, stopped a sand-laden truck near Maha Maya flyover last night during checking," they said.
On getting information, police reached the site and arrested the three accused Om Singh, Anil Singh and Sanjiv Kumar, Yogesh Singh SP City said.
Verma had lodged an FIR against the three at Sector 39 police station for assault on the forest department officials and obstructing public servant in discharge of their duties.
