Officers of the Special Narcotic Cell of Mizoram Police have seized 66 grams of heroin from Chanmari West locality in Aizawl, officers of the Aizawl Special Narcotic Police station today said.
The officers said Lalchuailova (28) of Manipur, now residing in Aizawl, was arrested yesterday in this connection.
The seized contraband was to be sold at around Rs three lakh in the local market, they said.
In another seizure, state excise and narcotic department's anti-narcotic squad seized 14 grams of heroin from the same Chanmari West locality last night and arrested Lallianmawia (25) of Aizawl and Lalneihfaia (31) of Tahan, Myanmar were arrested in this connection.
The arrested persons were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
