Three arrested for stealing lorry

Three persons were arrested for allegedly stealing a truck from a shed at Nagamalai Pudukottai, police said today.

Vadipatti Police on patrol duty noticed the trio, identified as K Ganesan (30), Moovendran (24) and M Ganesan (49), removing tyres and spare parts from a lorry parked at roadside last night and transferring them to another truck.

On questioning further they confessed to have stolen the truck from Nagamalai Pudukottai, police said.

Meanwhile, the driver of the stolen lorry belonging to a biscuit company, also approached the police to file a complaint, they said.
