Three brothers
drowned while trying to save a cow from drowning in Thenuva village in Sitapur, the police said today.
The area is facing floods and all the drains are also overflowing.

Haleem (12), Valeem (9) and Kaleem (7) had gone to graze their cow when while crossing Sukhni drain their cow slipped into deep water and all the children drowned one after the other in an attempt to save the cow, police said.
In a separate incident, Kanti (13) and her brother Vikas (5) drowned in Balrampur.
Vikas slipped in the water flowing on Gulrahia-Ahrauli road and his sister drowned while trying to pull him out.
All the five bodies have been fished out and sent for post-mortem.
