Three dacoits arrested in Kamrup

Three notorious dacoits were arrested from National Highway 31 in Rangia of lower Assam's Kamrup district today, a police official said.

The dacoits were involved in various crimes including truck robbery, looting, kidnapping on NH 31 for a long time, the official said.

The dacoits, arrested by Rangia Town police Sub Inspector Bhaskar Malla Patowary on a tip-off, were identified as Abdul Khalek alias Sila, Jiyaul Haque alias Babu and Rajib Ahmed, the official said.
