Three dead in accident on Kakinada beach road

Three youths died in an accident on the Kakinada beach road in the East Godavari district today, police said.

The victims, hailing from Pithapuram in the district were returning from the beach after bathing when they were hit by a trailer coming from the opposite direction at around 6 pm.

Two of them were crushed under the wheels of the trailer and died on the spot while the third one died at the Kakinada Government General Hospital.

The deceased were identified as Durga and Kalyan, high-school students, and Dilip Kumar, a labourer.
