Three die of suffocation in septic tank

Three workers died of suffocation in a septic tank of a hotel near here today.

The trio died while cleaning the tank this morning while another worker was injured in the incident.

The victims were employed by a private hotel located at Taleigao locality here.

Two workers Mahesh Mhajik, 21 (Goa) and Vishnu Dev, 21, (Cochin) died on the spot while Chandru Naik from Karnataka succumbed at a hospital here.

Santosh Oli (35) from Nepal is being treated at the state-run Goa Medical College and Hospital, police said.
