Three engineers of a private firm were allegedly assaulted by at least a dozen of its employees when they went asking for their dues at one of the branches of the company near High Court here.
An FIR has been registered and six employees of the firm have been booked, inspector of Civil Lines police station Amarnath Yadav said, adding that a search is on to nab them.
In their complaint to the police last night, Vivek Singh, Ashutosh and Roshan said that they reached the company's branch to collect their payments last evening.

The trio had joined the firm at its branch in Kunda tehsil of Pratapgarh district in December last year, Yadav said.
"Having run short of money ahead of Holi, they asked their employers for payment of their dues so that they could contribute in the festivities with their families, after which they were asked to collect their dues from Allahabad, where they were assaulted," Yadav said.
