Three get life sentence in dowry death case

A man and his two relatives have been sentenced to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of his wife for dowry three years ago.

Additional District Judge Nazre Imam Ansari passed the order convicting Monika Devi, Deochandra Yadav and the woman's husband Yodha Yadav for the murder of Phool Kumari in 2010 and awarded them life imprisonment, besides a fine of Rs 30,000 each.

Phool Kumari was murdered by her in-laws after her family failed to meet their dowry demands.
