A local court today sentenced three persons to life imprisonment for killing a 19-year-old girl and her lover.
Additional District Sessions Judge Dinesh Chand Gupta also imposed a fine of Rs 2,00,000 on the girl's brother Wasim, uncle Sanawwer and Abdul Samad, after holding them guilty under Section 302 of the IPC.
According to the prosecution, family members of the girl were against the relationship.
Girl's father Tahir, who was also an accused in the case, died during the trial while the court acquitted another accused Altaf due to lack of evidence.
