Three get life term for supplying counterfeit notes

A local court has sentenced three people to life imprisonment today for supplying fake currency notes.

Additional district sessions judge Ramesh Chand Diwaker also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on Iqbal, Tehsin and Yunus after holding them guilty of the crime.

According to the prosecution, fake notes with a face value of Rs 90,000 were recovered from their possession in Shamli district on February 22, 2001.
