Three get lifer for beating to death a bicycle thief

Three persons were awarded life imprisonment by a local court for killing a man three years ago.

Principal District and Session Judge, Prem Prakash Pandey convicted Lal Kisku, Gopal Tudu and Bidan Tudu and sentenced them to life imprisonment yesterday.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs.10,000 on each of them failing which they would have to undergo an additional year in prison.

The trio had beaten a bicycle thief Kolar Tudu to death at Pakuria on June 25, 2011.
