Three youths were sentenced to life imprisonment by a local court today for abducting and gang-raping a 15-year-old girl in 2012.
The court of Additional District Sessions Judge Luqman-ul Haq also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on the convicts -- Gaurav, Sonu Pal and Vir Singh.
The amount will be given to the victim.
The court acquitted two women Usha and Pushpa, accused of helping the convicts in abducting the girl, due to insufficient evidence.
The girl was abducted and gang-raped by the three youths on March 25, 2012, the prosecution said.
