Three hirelings who were roaming
with arms allegedly to kill a murder accused who was on bail and signing at Soolakarai police station in Virudhunagar district as part of the bail condition, was arrested tpday, police said.
Police said Perumal had allegedly murdered one Palanisamy alias Maadhu sometime back at Karadu near Salem. He was arrested and released on conditional bail and he was staying in a lodge near the collector's office at virudhunagar and signing at the soolakarai Police Station.
Palanisamy's brother,Baskaran wanted to avenge the death of his brother and was roaming with the hirelings and watching the movement of Perumal.
The hirlings were were waiting for an opportunity to murder Perumal when they were nabbed.
Police who was condcting vehicle cheking at Appanayakanpatti near Sattur, interrogated the occupants when they gave contradictory replies. As the Police grew suspicious they checked the vehicle and found Baskaran, Sankaran, Selvaraj and Kozhi Baskaran were carrying country arms with them.
They had allegedly confessed that they had come to murder one Perumal. Baskaran Sankaran and Selvaraj were arrested while the other managed to escape.
