Three persons were killed and twenty others were injured, four of them seriously, when the vehicle in which they were travelling overturned at Englishbazar area, about 7 km from here, police said today.
Police said the 23 passengers were on travelling by a van to Kaliachak at about 10.30 pm last night. The speeding vehicle overturned on NH 34 at Gabgachhi area.
Three persons died in the hospital, where the condition of four others was stated to be critical. The driver is among the injured.
