Three killed as vehicle plunges into Alaknanda

Three persons were killed today when the vehicle they were travelling in fell into Alaknanda river in Rudraparayag district.

The mishap occurred near Ratuda in the district, according to an information provided by the State Emergency Operation Centre here.

The cause of the accident is not known yet.

Chief Minister Harish Rawat has expressed grief at the loss of lives in the accident.
