Three workers were today killed when heavy iron angles fell on them during installation of new boilers at a power station of the state-run National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) at Fatatewadi near Solapur in Maharashtra, police said.
While two workers died on the spot, the third one passed away during treatment, they said, adding that all of them hailed from Punjab.
The project is Maharashtra's first ultra-thermal power generation plant deploying super-critical technology, making it eco-friendly.
