Three persons including two women were killed today when a speeding truck hit the motorcycle they were riding on near Jogapur village here.
The incident took place on Faizabad-Allahabad highway when constable Prakashanand (50) was going somewhere on his bike with Sumandevi (55) and Babita (35). The two-wheeler was hit by a truck, injuring them seriously, police said.
The injured were rushed to a local hospital, where they were declared brought dead.
Police have launched a hunt to nab the absconding truck driver.
