Three killed in vehicle collision on Yamuna Expressway

Three youths were killed and two others injured, when their speeding car allegedly rammed a heavy vehicle at the 89th milestone of Yamuna Expressway near Tentigaon in Surir Police station area in the wee hours today.

The five youths were on their way to Agra from Delhi to visit Taj Mahal in a BMW car, Deputy Superintendent of Police Piyush Srivastava said.

The speeding vehicle allegedly collided with a heavy vehicle at the Yamuna Expressway, he said, adding that the man behind the wheels may have dozed off.

While two youths died on the spot, the third succumbed to his injuries in the district hospital here, Srivastava said, adding the condition of the other two injured is stable.
 

The incident was reported by the passerby, Srivastava said.

The other vehicle fled the spot after the incident, he added.
