Three persons were killed and two others injured today in a collision between a truck and an autorickshaw in a village under Town police station area in Bihar's Nawada district, a police officer said.
The mishap took place in Kendua village while an autorickshaw carrying collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite side, Town police station in-charge Sanjeev Kumar Gupta said.
While three occupants of the autorickshaw died on the spot, two others sustained injuries, he said adding the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the injured persons admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Efforts were on to ascertain the identity of the victims, the police officer said.
The truck driver escaped with the vehicle after the incident, Gupta added.
