Police today busted three illegal mini-gun units in Bihar's Munger district, stated to be run by the Maoists, and arrested a relative of a jailed Maoist.

Acting on a tip off, the police raided Parmanandpur Gangsta forest area under Kharagpur police station jurisdiction and unearthed three illicit mini-gun factories being run by the jailed Maoist Birbal Murmu's brother in-law Dilip Kisku, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Varun Kumar Sinha said.

Kisku has been arrested under the provisions of the Arms Act, he said, adding a haul of weapons comprising three pistols, 23 magazines and three lathe machines, besides raw materials and equipment, have been recovered from the sites.

Confessing his crime, Kisku told the interrogators that he sold ten pistols to one Rajkumar yesterday, the SP said, adding these pistols too have been seized.
