Three naxalites including a self styled 'area commander' of the proscribed naxal outfit Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) were arrested today during a combing operation in Bihar's Rohtas and Kaimur district, police said.
Superintendent of Police, Rohtas, Satyavur Singh said the security forces launched a combing operation in the Kaimur hills area on a tip-off that naxalites were present on the area.
The arrested naxalites have been identified as Ramdular Kharwar, self-styled area commander of TPC, Nawal Kharwar and Dadan Kharwar, the SP said.
The security forces arrested Dadan Kharwar from Khukhma in Kaimur district, the SP said adding that on information provided by Dadan, the team raided Salma village in Rohtas district and arrested Ramdular and Nawal.
The security forces also seized a country made pistol and several live cartridges from the two, he said adding that all the three naxalites were wanted in cases relating to extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
