Three persons of a family, including two women, allegedly committed suicide at their residence in Kalyanpur area of the city, police said today.
Guddu (35), his wife Durga (32) and sister-in-law Maya (22) were found hanging from the ceiling in their house by neighbours yesterday, police said.
Maya was a divorcee who had been staying with the couple for quite some time, police said.

The reason behind the three taking their lives was not immediately known, police said, adding that the matter was being probed.
In a separate incident, Atul Mehrotra (46) was found hanging from the ceiling inside his room this morning, police said.
Mehrotra was reportedly suffering from depression as he had been recently suspended from his post at a bank.
A suicide note was found in which he said nobody was responsible for his death, police said. He is survived by his wife and a son.
In another incident, Shyam Singh (19) hung himself at his residence following a domestic dispute in Govindnagar area, police said.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem and the cases are being probed, police said.
