Three persons missing after boat capsizes in China

Three persons, suspected to be undocumented migrants, went missing after a boat carrying 13 people capsized in south China's Guangdong Province, rescuers said today.

Ten foreigners were rescued after the boat capsized around 5 am (local time) near Neilingding Island, an official with the provincial maritime rescue centre said, adding that one body has been retrieved so far.

The official said the vessel could be implicated in people-smuggling, but did not mention where it had come from and where it was heading to, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

Rescuers are searching for the missing.
