Three pilgrims from Karnataka killed in accident

Three pilgrims were killed and about 20 others injured in an accident involving a car and a van at Azhinjilam on the National Highway in the district this morning, police said.

The deceased, travelling in the car, have been identified as Manjunath, Tilaknath and Anil Chauri, all hailing from Karnataka.

A total of 20 persons, including two travelling in the car, sustained injuries in the mishap, police said.

All of them were rushed to the Medical College hospital here, police said.
