Three persons were arrested for their alleged involved in the murder of BJP leader Avinash Kumar early this month, police said today.

One shooter, identified as Raja, was arrested by a team of Patna police from his relative's place in Hyderabad, Senior Superintendent of Police Vikash Vaibhav said today.

Two of his accomplices, Anjum and Alauddin, surrendered in a Patna district court from where police arrested them, the SSP said.

The two had left for Mumbai after committing the murder on August 7. After succumbing to intense police pressure, they surrendered in the court of Sub Judge Rishikant Sinha here today, Vaibhav said.

Three shooters were captured on CCTV installed at a temple in Daldali area where Kumar was seen being chased and shot by the assailants while he was on his way back home after dropping his daughter at school in the morning.

Raja who has been arrested from Hyderabad has been identified as the killer, who had shot Kumar in his head, police said.

Three persons -- a former corporator Panna Lal Gupta, his son and daughter -- have already been arrested in connection with the murder of the BJP leader over old political enmity during election for Municipal corporation counsellor post in the past.

The Avinash Kumar's murder had rocked Bihar Vidhan Sabha during its recently ended Monsoon Session.
