Tibet's economy records 11.4 pc growth in Q1

During the period, social retail sales reached 5.7 billion yuan, up 14.3 per cent, and foreign trade reached USD 255 million, up 52.3 per cent, a spokesman with the Tibet Regional Development and Reform Commission said.
From January to March, Tibet received 230,000 visitors, up 23.7 per cent from a year earlier, state run Xinhua quoted a spokesman as saying.
