Tibet's first community centre that provides technology, manufacturing equipment and educational opportunities for start-ups has become operational in Lhasa today.
The community centre called 'makerspace' covers an area of 1,050 square meters with more than 100 working seats.
Besides offering basic work space and start-up training, it provides services such as business registration, intellectual property rights advice and legal help, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
So far, 10 businesses and six teams have settled in.
They are among the 48 applications received by the makerspace.
