Tiger found dead in Haridwar forest division

A tiger was found dead in Chidiyapur range of Haridwar forest division.

The putrefying carcass of the 10-year-old tiger was sighted in compartment 10 of Chidiyapur range during routine patrol yesterday, DFO Harshendra Kumar Singh said today.

A post-mortem revealed the big cat which died of septicemia, an infection of the blood, he said.

The tiger seems to have died about three days ago and its body had begun to decay, he said.
